Hello

My name is Mia Bieringer and I am a 4th year Public Health student on the pre-medical track. I was born in South Korea but I moved to the United States in 2012. Since then, I grew up in Melbourne, Florida, which is an east coast suburb an hour away from Orlando. As a first-generation Korean immigrant, I’ve always had a deep appreciation for different cultures and a passion for international experiences. Being an immigrant has shaped my perspective and instilled in me a respect for diversity and the power of cross-cultural connections.

As an aspiring physician, one of my goals is to help bridge the gap between healthcare and community, and I believe my background in public health would be a great asset in achieving this goal. One of my key strengths is my adaptability. I've studied abroad in multiple countries, such as Peru, South Africa, and Prague, taken diverse roles and responsibilities, always embracing change as an opportunity to broaden my skill set. This adaptability has not only enriched my personal growth but has also been a driving force behind my success in navigating various academic and professional environments.
